UND - A Celebration of All Things Notre Dame

Universal Notre Dame (UND) Celebrations, and are held to provide alumni with a "State of the University" from speakers representing all areas of the University. UND Celebrations are a key way for the University to thank alumni for their commitment to Notre Dame and provide an important mechanism to receive feedback from alumni across the world.

It's also an opportunity for you to learn about what the Club has been up to.  We do a lot of great things during the year and they are all due to your generosity and spirit!  We hope you'll continue to support the Club and attend our events and help us bring Notre Dame to Orlando!

ND’s Summer Service Learning Program (SSLP)

This summer we have a special opportunity to host Roslyn Joseph, a current Notre Dame student from Georgia who will be volunteering in Orlando, representing ND’s Summer Service Learning Program (SSLP). Our club has been blessed to have an ND student each summer for many years, but for the first time in three years, we get to host the student by inviting her to stay with our club families.  My family has hosted the SSLP student many times and we have ALWAYS received more than we have given.  It’s an easy way to give back, and a great way to stay connected to our wonderful University.

Roslyn will be arriving on May 15 and returning home on July 8, and we are seeking 4 families to host her for 2 weeks at a time.

  • May 15 – May 27 (Booked)
  • May 27 – June 12 (Available)
  • June 12 – June 26 (Booked)
  • June 26 – July 8 (Available)

Roslyn has her own car, so you just need to provide food, shelter and treat her as part of your family for a couple of weeks.  Please contact me if you are interesting in supporting BETA Center and Notre Dame’s SSLP program by hosting Roslyn this summer.

Go Irish!

LETTER CARRIERS’ ‘STAMP OUT HUNGER’ FOOD DRIVE - 2 Locations

We are seeking a few good men and women to represent the ND Club in support of the annual Letter Carriers' Food Drive.  This event is the largest food collection event of the year for Second Harvest Food Bank, and it comes at a critical time as thousands of kids move from the security of school provided lunches to the uncertainty of food accessibility in the summer.

This year we are supporting two locations — Lake Mary Post Office & Winter Park Post Office.  Here’s all you need to know:

  • We will be unloading and sorting food as the postal workers return from their daily routes
  • Everyone high school age and older is invited to participate
  • We’ll begin at 3pm and we are usually finished by 6 or 7pm
  • Please dress for safety and comfort… and wear an ND or St. Mary’s shirt, if possible

To volunteer, please contact Joe Gavigan (joseph.gavigan@disney.com) for the Lake Mary branch and Tara Doyle (tke.doyle@gmail.com) for the Winter Park branch.
